James Maddison’s potential move to Manchester United has been gearing up as he looks set to leave Leicester in the summer even if they avoid relegation.

He has already been snapped in a United kit previously and admitted of his “dream” to play at Old Trafford, having first moved to the Premier League from Norwich.

“I think my Premier League debut was the one [moment he didn’t expect],” Maddison told Sky Sports in 2019. “At Old Trafford, Manchester United away, stood in the tunnel. Mourinho walks past and Pogba and co. I was just like ‘I’m here now, I’ve arrived. And now it’s time to go show everyone what I can do.’

“Because you work so hard to get to those moments and I don’t think you can take them for granted. It’s a case of obviously staying grounded, it’s my debut.

“But after the game, I did think to myself ‘I’ve just played at Old Trafford in the Premier League, something I dreamed about as a young boy.'”
