Ageing is a natural part of getting older. And while it happens to everyone many of us will do what we can to stave off looking older for as long as possible.

This includes using anti-ageing creams to target fine lines and wrinkles, and dyeing our hair as it turns grey.

But one woman, who has managed to stay looking almost two decades younger than she actually is, revealed three key ways to remain youthful – without using beauty products.

Influencer Adriana Krzesniak, from Poland, shared her top tips with her more than 26,000 followers on social media platform TikTok.

Her video came in response to one comment from a fan, which asked: “First of all you look 25, what’s your secret?”

The 40-year-old said: “Most people think that I’m in my twenties and they’re always shocked when I say that I’m actually 40.”

According to the mum-of-one, there’s no “one magical thing” to slow down ageing but a number of lifestyle changes can make a huge difference.

Her three tips for staying young looking were:

  • Staying safe in the sun
  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Taking supplements.

She explained: “I never tanned my skin. I hate to lie in the sun, I’m a self-tan girl.

“I use self tanners all the time, I love self tanners but I don’t tan my skin.”

Adriana said she drinks between two and a half and three litres of water every day.

“I really try to keep the track of how much I drink during the day,” she said.

“I think this is the second most important thing that I have done for years and it has a big impact on how you look.

“Seriously, your lifestyle is much more important than your skincare. Lifestyle is like, 60, 70 percent.

“And then like 30 percent is the skincare and things that you use and maybe the rest is genes.”

Finally, she advised taking plenty of supplements including vitamin D and collagen.

Adriana said: “In my 20s. I always took supplements for my skin like a complex but then I started to be more interested in supplements in my 30s.

“I added collagen supplements to my diet, which I also think had a big impact on how I look right now.”

If you do want to experiment with anti-ageing skin care she recounted how she started using a very low percentage retinol cream in her 30s, combined with moisturisers.

She added: “I went up very slowly. I always look at how my skin reacts so I don’t dry it. So yeah, that’s the secret.”

Her followers were impressed. One commented: “I agree with you, it’s lifestyle and for me I think it’s drinking water mainly as I drink about three litres of water daily since my early 20s.”

Another said: “She is probably 25, I refuse to believe she is more than 30.”
