It’s proving to be yet another busy week in the summer transfer market as a host of Premier League clubs seek to finalise new arrivals ahead of the 2023/24 season. Most sides have now travelled overseas as their pre-season plans continue to take shape but club directors remain hot in pursuit of new arrivals and there is still plenty of work to be done before the September 1 transfer deadline.
Manchester United are expected to finalise the signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan in the next 48 hours while they’re also upping the efforts to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Arsenal new boys Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz are all in full training alongside their team-mates in Washington D.C but Edu could yet pull off further acquisitions for Mikel Arteta as the Gunners go in search of their first Premier League title since 2004.
Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear he needs more signings at Chelsea if they are to complete this season following a mass summer clear-out that has raised £230m.
The Argentine is fearful he is light on the ground in terms of quality and numbers after Wesley Fofana ruptured his ACL.
Tottenham are also far from done in the market despite a busy start to the window with Ange Postecoglou still targeting two more defenders and possibly other further recruits.
