Romano has also claimed that Arsenal have watched Real Sociedad pair Robin Le Normand and Martin Zubimendi.
“Arsenal sent their scouts to follow both Zubimendi and Le Normand this year as they’re doing excellent with Sociedad, but nothing is concrete yet,” he wrote for CaughtOffside.
“The Gunners’ plans on new signings will be made in the next weeks, nothing is advanced yet. The price for Le Normand is the release clause: €50m.”
The duo would help improve Mikel Arteta’s options in defence and midfield as he gets ready to lead Arsenal back into the Champions League for the first time since 2017.
