PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare has emerged as a potential target for Liverpool after missing out on Moises Caicedo.

Jurgen Klopp could also be snubbed in the race for Romeo Lavia, with Chelsea agreeing a £55m fee with Southampton, and the Reds are making contingency plans with Sangare on their list.

Former footballer Kiki Musampa, the brother of Sangare’s agent, has claimed four clubs are interested in the 25-year-old – including the Merseyside outfit.

“There are big clubs that are interested, such as Bayern Munich,” Musampa told ESPN.nl.

“Ibrahim is also on the list at Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, but he is not yet a priority there. Nottingham Forest had already made an offer, but that was not enough.”
