Premier League clubs will be looking to get an edge in the transfer market over the coming weeks, with a whole host of players tipped to be on the move. The transfer window opened last week and won’t shut until 11pm on Friday, September 1. But teams will not want to waste time as they put their squads together ahead of the new campaign, and the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea look set to spend heavily.

Liverpool sent out a statement of intent earlier this month as they snapped up Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton, while Chelsea’s deal for Christopher Nkunku finally completed on Tuesday after the transfer was agreed earlier this year.

Arsenal appear to be in the driving seat to land West Ham and England star Declan Rice, while Manchester City said to be eyeing up RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol and Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

Elsewhere, Celta Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga is being tracked by Liverpool and Chelsea. And 13-time Premier League champions Manchester United have reportedly turned their attentions to Monaco ace Axel Disasi.

There is plenty of activity going on behind-the-scenes – so stick around for all the transfer news throughout the day and follow the Express Sport live blog below.
