She shared a video that has since gone viral, showing that her plants have been destroyed by some kind of pesky pest. She easily determined the culprit as slugs, because of the slime left behind on the leaves.
“I usually don’t like unaliving things in the garden, but I have seen slug damage everywhere, and not just my peppers. They have been terrorising my entire garden.”
The solution? A bowl a beer.
Meg explained that slugs and snails are attracted to the yeast in beer. She poured a can of beer into several bowls and placed them throughout her plants.

The next day, the bowls were filled with slugs.

She responded: “SO many I wasn’t even expecting it.”
It wasn’t until she tried this trick did she realise she has a slug infestation. She said she’s planning on continuing to put bowls out until they are gone.
