Taylor Swift recently released her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, her first record since 2022’s Midnights.

The arrival of the album – which hit number one across more than 25 countries – was intensely exciting for Swifties around the world – but it came with some bad news.

With the ongoing Eras Tour finally hitting Europe and the UK in the coming weeks, Taylor Swift’s ever-expanding setlist has gone through some changes.

With 32 new songs in The Tortured Poets Department, the American star has swapped out some of her fandom’s most popular songs to include a few favourites.

Unfortunately, this means some massive hits have lost their slot. And at the top of the list is The Archer.

In new data taken from Spotify, it has been revealed the most popular song to have been axed from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour setlist is the iconic track from Lover, leaving fans “heartbroken” (according to Journo Research).

The song, which was released in 2019, has become a favourite, and has earned more than 380 million streams.

It’s not just her classic tracks that have been culled from the list, though.

One of Taylor’s songs from Folklore also got removed from the list: The Last Great American Dynasty.

The factual song, based on the life of real-life socialite Rebekah Harkness, has also been removed, and has earned more than 348 million streams to date.

Likewise, Tolerate It, from Evermore, was dragged from the performance, despite having more than 296 million streams worldwide.

It isn’t all bad news, however. Taylor Swift has inserted her new single, Fortnight, into the setlist.

This track, which features Post Malone, is one of the most highly-anticipated tracks fans want to see live, and with more than 66.3 million streams, it is easily the most exciting upcoming live performance of the performance.

While tickets for Taylor Swift’s tour sold out almost instantly, savvy fans can still buy tickets to the upcoming UK and European tour dates for The Eras Tour.

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, viagogo also commented: “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee.”
