Pop superstar Pink has issued an apology to fans after cancelling two upcoming shows because of a family emergency.

The singer took to social media to reveal she was postponing two of her shows in Tacoma, Washington. The So What hitmaker said she intended to reschedule the dates.

The mother-of-two did not clarify what the nature of the emergency was, reports The Mirror.

The 44-year-old singer wrote in a statement on her Instagram story: “I am so sorry to inform the Tacoma ticket holders that the two shows October 17 and October 18 (tomorrow and Wednesday) will be postponed.

“Live Nation is working on future dates to reschedule. Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I send everyone my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. I am sending nothing but love and health to all.”

The chart-topping singer took stick on social media this week as some fans believed she was flying as Israel flag at concerts. She later confirmed on X that the “only flag” she supports is the rainbow flag.

She reinforced her opinion that she believes in peace between Israel and Palestine.

Pink is currently on her ninth concert tour. She is performing in 14 cities across the U.S. following the release of her new hit album Trustfall. Her tour kicked off this month with her first show just last week in Sacramento, California.

Pink announced her latest album during an appearance on Good Morning America. She said she thought it was the “best album she’s ever made”, having been inspired by themes including her children getting sick with Covid and her father’s death.

She said: “I took time. I had time and I had a lot of really devastating things happen. My son and I got really sick with COVID. That sort of distilled down for me what actually matters. And it takes a crisis to do that.” She continued: “My album is a piece of me, and I think that I am an example of how you can live authentically and fearlessly, in ways.”
