Marks and Spencer’s summer trousers are flying off the shelves, with over 800 ratings to their name. The lightweight pair have been praised for their comfort and they’re available in nine colours.

The M&S Collection Cotton Rich Tea Dyed Slim Fit Chinos have been designed with both style and practicality in mind. They’ve quickly become a wardrobe staple one shopper said she “bought four pairs in different colours”.

The £25 smart casual trousers offer plenty of choice for those looking to stock up on a versatile summer essential that can be paired with various t-shirts, blouses and vests. Shoppers can choose from Black, Navy, Light Grey, Buttery White, Ecru, Terracotta, Light Pink, Ice Blue and Dark Sage – in a range of lengths and sizes to suit every figure and body shape.

Available in sizes 6 to 24, they come in short/petite, regular and long lengths and are crafted from a breathable cotton-rich fabric. These trousers feature added stretch for all-day comfort, reports the Manchester Evening News.

With a modern slim fit that looks smart without clinging to every lump and bump, these ankle-grazing trousers with casual rolled hems can be styled to your liking – perfect for office wear or more casual outings.

Another key feature is their flattering high-rise waist, which will give a slimming feel and practical elements include belt loops, a button and zip fastening, and front and back pockets.

The Slim Fit Chinos have over 800 ratings and they’ve impressed shoppers with their lightweight feel and comfortable fit.

One shopper wrote: “I like these chinos as they are nice and light weight for the summer. A good fit and the shorter length is great, and can also be rolled up.”

A second said: “I ordered size 14 short; I’m 5’5″ish and can be a 12 or 14. They fitted perfectly. They will be extremely useful over the summer months, folded to above the ankle with trainers or sandals. Nice pockets, slim leg without clinging. Yes, I would definitely recommend them.”

“Actually bought 4 pairs of these trousers in different colours-great fit. Smart casual for any occasion,” said a third.

A fourth raved: “Comfortable fitting, light weight summer chino. Glad I bought the longer length rather than the standard length, which would be my usual length, as these fall just right (I’m not a fan of ankle grazers! ) and the small turn-up adds to the weight at the bottom of the legs so that they sit nicely.”

Somebody else complained about the fit, writing: “I like these, the colour is unusual. They are a bit baggy on the back of the legs.” And another mentioned: “The sizing is perfect and fit is comfortable, however the look is very wrinkled and faded. I wish it was a bit darker as they are selling it as navy and its no where close to a navy colour.”

In other fashion bargain news, River Island’s Petite Chino Trousers have seen a price drop from £37 to £15 in the brand’s summer sale. Meanwhile, at New Look, shoppers can snap up the Cotton Mid Rise Straight Leg Chinos for £18, down from £29.99, although stock is running low with very limited sizes left.
