Mike Tindall, 44, posted a meme on his Instagram story on Friday which appeared to take a teasing shot at his wife Zara, 42.
The meme was captioned: “When the wife is ready on time”, accompanied by a photograph of two men looking extremely shocked.
Royal fans found the post very endearing, with @toriaa_h tweeting: “Not Mike roasting Zara on Instagram!” Meanwhile, @IpsiRoyals replied: “Screaming!”
It is not entirely clear which occasion Mike was referring to, although the couple has attended Royal Ascot and Wimbledon together in recent weeks, with Zara dressed up to the nines.
For instance, Zara wore a £667 pink and green dress from Leo Lin for her debut at Ascot 2023, which was followed by a £1,800 pale yellow lace dress and a Laura Green navy dress.
In addition, the daughter of Princess Anne wore a Me + Em striped dress at Wimbledon earlier this week which retailed for £250.
On all these occasions, Zara looked absolutely gorgeous and likely spent a great deal of time perfecting her outfit before leaving the house.
Mike also looked immaculate by matching his tie to Zara’s outfit each time they appeared side by side.
The couple tied the knot in 2011 and have three children together, Mia, nine, Lena, five, and Lucas, two.
Body language expert Darren Stanton spoke about the close relationship between Zara and Mike when they attend royal events together.
He said: “In terms of body language, Zara and Mike have a great deal of connection, rapport and natural chemistry.”
This is evident from the public displays of attraction between the couple, as they are often photographed kissing and walking hand in hand at royal events.
Mr Stanton added: “This proves how naturally close the pair are. It’s clear from their closeness and gestures that they are very much in love.”
