Martin Scorsese may be 81, but he’s showing now sign of retiring anytime soon.

According to Variety’s sources, the acclaimed filmmaker is planning to shoot two new movies back-to-back.

First up is his modern day Jesus movie based on Shūsaku Endō’s 1973 book, for which he’s planning on reuniting with Silence’s Andrew Garfield for either the title role or one of the disciples.

Another star in the running for the movie set to shoot in Israel, Italy and Egypt later this year, is Miles Teller.

As for the second picture, Scorsese plans to make a Frank Sinatra biopic with an Oscar-winner in the title role.

According to the insiders, Scorsese wants his regular collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio to play Sinatra opposite Jennifer Lawrence as the crooner’s second wife Ava Gardner.

However, the biopic “could also hit some snags” since the late singer’s daughter Tina Sinatra controls her father’s estates and is yet to give the picture her blessing.

Apple, who financed Killers of the Flower Moon want to produce the Sinatra movie but apparently, Sony is the current frontrunner.
