Oasis star Liam Gallagher hasn’t been on tour for quite some time, but he’s just confirmed a comeback – not how you might think, however.
He has just joined forces with Stone Roses guitarist John Squire for their first-ever album collaboration.
The record (self titled, Liam Gallagher John Squire) will be released on March 1, 2024, and will include a collection of songs written and performed by the two Britpop powerhouses.
As if that wasn’t enough, the duo have also confirmed a massive UK tour, where they’ll be playing some huge shows, including two nights in Manchester, and two in London.
John himself said: “It was really inspiring to have those Knebworth gigs fresh in my mind as I started writing. Then it was a case of trying to steer it away from all being too rocky, and trying to mix up the sentiments as well.
“I like the way that in some parts, it’s quite melancholic and it can make you well up, but there are other parts that are kind of irreverent, rude or crude. There’s a little bit of everything in there, I think it’s a really good mix. I had a hunch that we’d sound good together, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be such a good fit.”
Liam added: “I can’t wait for people to hear the album. I think the people that are into the Stone Roses and Oasis and that kinda thing, I think they’ll f*****g love it. It’s spiritual, it’s crucial. LG x”

He’ll be arriving at all of their shows as a special guest, except for the performance in Brooklyn, USA.
Liam and John’s band will be comprised of Barrie Cadogan (Little Barrie, Paul Weller) on bass and Joey Waronker on drums
