Princess Kate is known for her bouncy hair and is often seen wearing her hair down for royal engagements unless donning a tiara or trying her hair in a ponytail during a sporting event. Now, one eagle-fan has claimed Kate may wear her hair in a certain way in order to cover up a surgical scar.

In one TikTok video, the royal fan explained: “Princess Catherine uses her hair to hide a defect. Kate most often appears in public with her hair loose and with the help of shiny curls styled in a certain way, she hides a noticeable scar on her head.

“The three-inch scar was first spotted in 2011 at a private dinner at Clarence House.”

Kate has a scar running down her left temple, and can sometimes be spotted when the Princess has her hair tied up. It is unknown what exactly caused the scar, although Kensington Palace has said the scar is “related to a childhood operation”

Some royal fans have speculated that the scar came from a hockey match while at school, but royal correspondent Katie Nicholl has written that the scar may be the result of an emergency operation as a result of the Princess noticing a lump on her head as a child.

Ms. Nitcholl wrote in her book ‘Kate: The Future Queen’ that Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, was called while she was at school to rush her to the doctor who immediately performed an operation to remove the lump.

Ann Patching, who worked at Marlborough school for years, told Nicholl: “I can remember the incident and her having an operation, I don’t recall anything happening on the hockey pitch [field] that had anything to do with the lump.

“Catherine had the operation during her term time. She was back at school very soon afterward. As usual, nothing was too much of a big deal for her. You could never accuse Catherine of being a drama queen, but Carole was very worried, as any mother would be.”

According to one hair expert, Kate has the “best hair” in the Royal Family and how to achieve the Princess’ style is often sought after by royal fans.

Kate’s “signature blow dry” can be copied with only a few simple steps according to Alice Dawkins, a hair guru, who spoke with the Express.

The first step is to wash your hair and then apply a heat-protecting product to your hair, starting with your roots to the tips of the hair. Next, turn your head at an angle and use a blow dryer to apply heat to your roots.

Make sure to split your hair into sections and secure your hair. Use a round hairbrush to “create Kate’s curved under flick” and minimise fizz.

In order to achieve Kate’s blowdry, you must produce “volume” in order to give it “more lift.” The more body your hair has, the more likely you will be able to have Kate’s bouncy blow-dry hairstyle.
