The King of Pop was famously very close to Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross, but there have never been any report they all stripped off together – unlike with another Hollywood legend.
Back in the early 1980s, Michael Jackson and Jane Fonda were so close that they briefly lived together.
The actress has been busy this week giving rounds of interviews while promoting her new movie, Book Club: The Next Chapter.
She immediately hit headlines with revelations that French director René Clément tried to persuade her to have sex with him so he could see what her orgasms looked like on camera.
But she also described an intimate moment with MJ.
Fonda was appearing on US chat show Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen, alongside her co-stars Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen.
Previously on the same show, she had described how Jackson came to live with her in the summer of 1981
Fonda said: “I knew him pretty well. I went to his house a lot. He came over to my house a lot… I was making On Golden Pond up in New Hampshire, he came and lived with me for about a week, in the same home.”
The actress had rented a small cottage during the shoot with only one bedroom.
Reminded about it in the new interview this week, Fonda revealed it was all Jackson’s idea.
Asked why it happened, she joked: “I think because he knew he was going to die young and I would talk about him being naked.
She also had a very short and discrete comment about what she saw: “He was skinny!”
But there was never any other dimension to their close friendship: “He slept on a mattress that he pulled out on the floor of the living room. I slept in a loft upstairs. I found him very touching, a very interesting character.”
