It’s been five years since Avengers Endgame and the conclusion of the MCU’s Infinity Saga.
The on-going Multiverse Saga continues this summer with Deadpool and Wolverine, as the overarching narrative begins its march towards the next two crossover epics.
Avengers 5 (formerly called The Kang Dynasty before Jonathan Majors’ firing from the franchise) is set for release in May 2026.
According to reliable scooper Daniel RPK, the blockbuster will be focused on a smaller Avengers team, presumably led by Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and the new Captain America.
The Fantastic Four, who are getting their solo movie in July 2025 that’s reportedly set in the 1960s of another universe, will reportedly not crossover with the MCU superheroes until Avengers Secret Wars in 2027.
The Multiverse Saga’s Endgame-level finale is rumoured to feature Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man teaming up and now another non-MCU Marvel star has allegedly signed on.
According to both Daniel RPK and another trusted scooper (MyTimeToShineHello), Wesley Snipes will be reprising Blade for the first time in over 20 years.
The 61-year-old was the first Marvel movie star with 1998’s Blade and its two sequels.
It’s reported that he has signed on for multiple Multiverse Saga projects, so presumably Snipes will crossover with the MCU variant of his vampire hunter.
The latter will be played by Mahershala Ali in the new Blade movie set for release on November 7, 2025. Perhaps that will be Snipes’ MCU debut?
