Antler’s ‘sturdy’ cabin bag £50 off in Amazon Prime Day deal

A good cabin bag is worth its weight in gold if you’re going on holiday – one that’s guaranteed to fit pretty much any airline’s size allowance is a total lifesaver. It means you can pack for a holiday secure in the knowledge that you won’t be facing any extra charges or surprise bag-check instructions.

This sort of bag can also be pricy, though, especially from well-known brands, which makes it worth jumping on any deal you see. That’s exactly the situation for Antler’s Cabin Suitcase Clifton Luggage set, which currently has a cabin-sized version discounted in both black and blush colourways to just £119 instead of £170, in what’s a really exciting Prime Day deal.

That’s a chunky discount, and if you want a different colour or a larger size there are a range of others available – although they aren’t quite as heavily reduced as the black or blush cabin versions, making these two the best value. Made from polycarbonate materials, the suitcase is lightweight but sturdy, so it can withstand the inevitable wear and tear that comes from travel.

It has locks for security, flexible carry handles and four interior pockets to help organise your belongings. You can tell how solid these suitcases are, too, by checking the user reviews on the Amazon listing. From nearly 350 ratings, the average score sits at 4.5 stars, which is pretty impressive.

One of these happy customers wrote: “I bought this case a few months ago and tested it on 2 holidays already and it still looks like new.” Another said: “The colour is great, but more importantly it is strong and has class. Easy to use, great wheels. Everything about it exudes quality and a well-finished product”.

Finally, a third enthused: “Super cool suitcase, easy rolling, super light and well thought out with the internal pockets and zip up compartments.” This gives you a good sense of how impressed many buyers have been, although there is some dissent in the form of a smaller range of less pleased write-ups.

One such reviewer said: “Stylish looks, good space for laptop etc but not much space for clothes, perhaps an expanding section would be better.” This is a theme that others touched on, too – the compact nature of the case.

That said, its dimensions are clearly labelled, so it’s worth checking these before ordering. Another user agreed: “Case feels sturdy but rather small, better for short trips rather than week holidays.”

So, if what you’re looking for is indeed a really compact case, this could be perfect. Other options do exist, of course. Muji, for example, makes a really stylish suitcase, its Hard Trolley Suitcase 20L – and at £120 it’s comparably priced, although a little smaller than Antler’s. If you fancy a soft-shell suitcase instead, Samsonite’s Citybeat – Spinner S is £128.76 in a funky yellow colour on Amazon, but might not be to everyone’s taste.
