The summer transfer window has been open for two weeks now and already it’s shaping up to be one of the most active we’ve seen. Among the busiest teams is Arsenal, who have already snapped Kai Havertz for £65million and are expected to add Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice to their ingoings in the next few days.
The structure of a deal for Rice is still being haggled but Timber to Arsenal is reportedly a done deal with the Gunners looking to complete the player’s medical next week. Meanwhile, Chelsea have been very active in terms of outgoings.
They’ve already moved on the likes of Havertz, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic and Edouardo Mendy in a desperate attempt to recoup funds after previous heavy spending. And it seems long-term servant Cesar Azpilicueta is next having entered into advanced talks with Athletico Madrid for a move back to Spain this summer.
The other major piece of news this morning is that Manchester United are set to submit a £43.8m bid including add-ons for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. Inter reportedly want a £43m base fee before bonuses come into play, very close to United’s opening offer.
