Red Bull star Max Verstappen has admitted that it is ‘incredible’ to draw level with Ayrton Senna on Formula One’s all-time victory list.

His win at the Canadian Grand Prix last weekend took Verstappen’s total to 41, and he did not shy away from reflecting on a monumental moment in his career.

He explained: “I mean, I hate to compare different generations. From my side, the only thing I can say is that when I was a little kid driving in go-karting, I was dreaming about being a Formula 1 driver and I would have never imagined to win 41 Grands Prix.

“Of course, to tie with Ayrton is something incredible. I’m proud of that, but of course, I hope it’s not stopping here, you know – I hope that we can keep on winning more races.”
