Ex-F1 star Ralf Schumacher feels Lewis Hamilton was hit with the “maximum penalty” as he was forced to let George Russell pass.
Hamilton was asked to allow Russell through after the ex-Williams star made his pit stop.
It comes after the 25-year-old enjoyed a better qualifying on Saturday while Hamilton was knocked out of Q2.
But Schumacher feels this could have been humiliating for Hamilton who failed to fire up his Silver Arrows all weekend.
He commented: “Lewis Hamilton is currently going to be extremely seething. He’s not used to not winning. He wants attention, you can always see that in his outfits.
“In Miami, he landed behind his team-mate George Russell. This is a maximum penalty for Hamilton.”
